South Shore Farms

South Shore Farms was started in 1975 by Dave McMullin and Dallis Young. The land was ideal for planting trees because of the lower average springtime temperatures. They originally planted peaches, cherries, and alfalfa. In the early 1980’s the alfalfa fields were converted into orchards. In one year alone over 40,000 trees were planted.
